Dan Merkel Media prints are produced on the “collectors preferred” highest museum-gallery quality
paper available called “Fuji-Crystal” (example 1). Through this medium robust colors and details are
brought out to its fullest potential giving the images vibrancy and vivid life. Once the image is
printed onto the “Crystal” paper it is then mounted onto an aluminum composite board called “Dibond”
which is extremely durable, rigid and light weight(example 2). The mounting surface of this aluminum
board is as smooth as glass giving the image a blemish free and flawless “glasslike” surface. The piece
is then laminated with a polyurethane product protecting the image from 100% of UV rays and its surrounding
environment. Through this lamination process the piece is made archival for 90 years. Due to the clarity
achieved with this process all the fine details are fully expressed and extremely bold. The final
step involves mounting gator board to the back of the piece which carries 2 hooks ready for mounting
(example 3). Finished products (examples 4) This contemporary “frameless” look is the suggested medium
of Dan Merkel Media, however framing is very easy to achieve with the image structure provided or you can
order the print only and frame it yourself. Please call or email us if you have any questions. “Non-
Crystal” (Inkjet) prints only are also available.
